Jonathan Crowther has spent the better part of a decade at the forefront of data-driven clinical operations building predictive analytics platforms at Pfizer that served over 1,400 users, and now leading Merck Healthcare’s Operational Design Center, where his team is redefining how global trials are planned, from early feasibility through to execution. His career sits at a rare intersection: deep scientific training, including a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from KU Leuven, combined with operational experience across some of the industry’s most complex trial portfolios. Jonathan’s conviction is simple but pointed: the clinical operations industry has over-indexed on platform procurement and under-invested in the connective tissue that makes platforms actually work.
